PSAT, SAT & ACT Preparation

PSAT/NMSQT INFORMATION
The PSAT is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship and is used by other scholarship programs to find eligible students. The PSAT must be taken in the 11th grade (junior year) in order to enter the competition. However, it can also be taken in the 10th grade (sophomore year) for practice,
The PSAT is offered annually in mid-October. While websites indicate that students should register for the test four months ahead of time, we have found that students are encouraged to register about a month before the test in mid-September. Helpful information about the PSAT can be found here and here.

SAT/ACT INFORMATION

In addition to subject matter, students should learn tips and strategies for test-taking. While a lot of students study for the SAT, and ACT using free resources, many also pay for test prep services. Click here for an in-depth and objective review of the bigger online prep courses, test providers, and tutors.
Prep Camp Designed by a Homeschool Mom
College Prep Genius Jean Burk, homeschool mom, created this award-winning curriculum after helping both of her children learn to take the tests. Both children received full ride scholarships to college.
