Mission
CCHE's mission is to assist parents in making an informed choice about homeschooling, facilitate community awareness of homeschooling, and to offer annual events, support, and resources to all who are homeschooling. CCHE desires to glorify God in all that we do, promoting freedom for all homeschoolers.
CCHE membership is open to all interested persons in sympathy with the purpose of CCHE. This includes parents, grandparents, teachers, et cetera and is not limited to those with school age children. Members must reside in Clark, Cowlitz, Skamania counties in Washington state.
As an organization, CCHE is consistently and forthrightly Christian in all of its activities and publications. However, members are not required to agree with our Statement of Faith.
CCHE has a board of directors who are volunteer homeschooling parents and membership families.
HOW CCHE CAME TO BE
In the summer of 1988, a group of seven homeschool mothers met because they felt a common need to build a support network for homeschooling families. Homeschooling was just beginning to take root. Through many hours of effort and community contact, Clark County Home Educators was formed.
As of summer, 2018, CCHE is 30 years old.
