Jr. High and High School Helps
While it can be intimidating to think about homeschooling junior high and especially high school students,it is absolutely doable! Don't give up. The rewards you reap from homeschooling through graduation are immeasurable. When you doubt and panic, there are people and resources to see you through. Please look to the resources below or contact us. Here we've included some of the most valuable help we know of for this season of homeschooling.
CCHE does not endorse public school-at-home programs, or public alternative schools. There are fantastic options on this page and on our Student Classes page. Enrolling your junior high or high school student in one or more private classes allows you to partner with a homeschool organization for specific subject needs. This can relieve stress, increase your confidence, and give your child experience in being accountable to a tutor in addition to you.

(Partnering with Other Homeschool Parents)
Co-ops allow parents to pool their expertise for teaching different subject areas. Many co-ops are formed privately by homeschooling parents who know each other and share a need. These co-ops aren't advertised except by word of mouth. If you have a need or expertise to share, just gather up some families and form your own informal co-op for the year.
Classical Conversations - Meets weekly to support and encourage homeschool parents as they strive to implement a classical model of education. Firmly Planted - formerly First Class Homeschool Ministries (FCHM)
(Firmly Planted charters Homeschool Co-ops throughout the United States). Current SW Washington Co-op Locations Include: Clark County West, Clark County East, and Cowlitz County. You can see a sample of classes offered here. Firmly Planted is a Christ-centered parachurch ministry outreach to homeschooling families. Kindergarten through high school Classes offered one day a week; nursery and early childhood program; encouragement for parents, help for new homeschooling moms; new friendships and opportunities for students; Affordable co-op classes are taught primarily by parents.
